How to Use This Tool
A classic meme is a picture with bold white text and a black outline. Fixlytools adds that text to any image in your browser, and nothing is uploaded.
- Upload an Image: Click "Select Image" or drag a JPG, PNG or WebP picture onto the box.
- Type Your Text: Fill in the top and bottom text. Change the size and colours if you like. Long lines shrink to fit.
- Add Extra Text (Optional): Click "Add text box", type your words, then drag the box wherever you want it on the picture.
- Download: Choose PNG or JPG and click "Download Meme". Your original image is not changed.
Key Features
- Classic Meme Look: Bold lettering with a thick outline stays readable on bright and dark pictures.
- Auto-Fit Text: Long captions wrap onto more lines and shrink so they never run off the picture.
- Draggable Text Boxes: Add extra text anywhere. Drag with a mouse or finger, or nudge with the arrow keys.
- Your Colours: Pick the text colour and outline colour, and switch capital letters on or off.
- No Watermark, No Upload: The meme is made in your browser, nothing is added to it, and the image never leaves your device.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which font does the meme use?
It uses Impact when your device has it, then similar bold fonts. No fonts are downloaded, so the look can differ a little between phones and computers.
Can I move the top and bottom text?
The top and bottom lines stay in place and shrink to fit. For text anywhere else, add a text box and drag it.
Which image types can I use?
JPG, PNG and WebP pictures. Animated images are not supported.
Why is my downloaded meme smaller than my original?
Very large images, above about 16 million pixels or 8000 pixels on one side, are scaled down so that your browser can handle them. The page tells you the download size.
Do I have the right to use the picture?
That is up to you. Only use pictures you made, have permission to use, or that are free to reuse.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. The meme is made in your browser and the image never leaves your device.
