How to Add a Watermark to Images

A watermark shows who made a picture and discourages careless reuse. You can use text such as your name or a logo, on one image or a whole folder of them.

  1. Add your images: Click "Choose Images" or drop up to 50 JPG, PNG or WebP pictures on the page.
  2. Design the watermark: Type your text or choose a logo, then set size, colour, opacity, rotation, position and margin. The preview shows the first image.
  3. Choose the format: Save as JPG or PNG. JPG files are smaller; PNG keeps every detail.
  4. Download: Download one picture, or all of them in a ZIP file.

Key Features

  • Text or logo: Use bold text with an optional shadow, or place your own logo image.
  • Full control: Size, colour, opacity, rotation, margin and ten placements, including a repeating tiled pattern.
  • Live preview: Every change shows straight away on the first image.
  • Batch processing: Mark up to 50 images in one go, with sizes that adapt to each picture.
  • Private by design: Pictures never leave your device.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I watermark many images at once?

Yes. Add up to 50 images. The same watermark is applied to each one, sized and placed relative to that image, and the results are downloaded as one ZIP file.

Can a watermark be removed again?

The watermark is drawn into the pixels of the new image, so it cannot simply be switched off. A strong, tiled watermark is harder to edit out than a small one in a corner, but no watermark gives complete protection against someone who is determined.

Which logo files work best?

A PNG with a transparent background looks best. JPG and WebP logos work too, but a JPG logo keeps its solid background.

Does it change my original files?

No. Your original pictures are never overwritten. New files are created with "watermarked" in the name.

Why does the text look different from my other programs?

The text uses a standard bold sans-serif font that is available on your device, since no web fonts are loaded. The look can differ slightly between devices.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. The watermark is added in your browser and your pictures never leave your device. Very large pictures (above roughly 16 megapixels) are scaled down a little because of browser limits.
